Brian Wilson is an experienced critical care registered nurse and paramedic, most recently practicing in a high volume cardiothoracic surgical ICU. He enjoys nursing and playing in dynamic and challenging environments and is a flight nurse for a CAMTS accredited, hospital based, rotary wing critical care and emergency transport program. Nursing interests include critical care, emergency and trauma, critical care and emergency transport, education, and wilderness medicine.

Brian holds the following licensure, credentials and certifications: Registered Nurse (RN), Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN), Paramedic (EMT-P), Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician (WEMT-P), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), the STABLE program (STABLE), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).

Brian is a member of the Air and Surface Transport Nurses Association (ASTNA), American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN), Emergency Nurses Association (ENA), and the Wilderness Medical Society (WMS). He is a recipient of the National Collegiate Nursing Award, the Maria Kavorkian Nursing Scholarship and is a 2007 Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing inductee.

Professionally, Brian has been involved in EMS, wilderness search and rescue, outdoor and nursing education, program coordination and critical care nursing. He is currently working toward fellowship in the Academy of Wilderness Medicine (FAWM).

Brian spends much of his free time outside and with his family. He is a trail and ultramarathon runner, swimmer, mountain biker, fastpacker, mountaineer, backpacker, canoe tripper and most importantly a telemark skier.
